Gen Set S.p.A. was founded in 1974, with the objective of designing and manufacturing portable generators. Since then the Company has continually developed its production capacity, broadened its range of products and increased its market share in Italy and abroad.
The Company’s headquarters are located in Villanova d’Ardenghi (Pavia), about 30 km south of Milan, close to the Milan-Genoa motorway. On a total area of 35,000 m2, more than two thirds are occupied by the factory and office buildings.
All phases of product development are done internally: concept, design, implementation, manufacturing.
The products range composes of:
- DC engine driven welders from 165 A to 1000 A equipped with one, two or four independent welding stations;
- AC power generators from 1 kVA to 2000 kVA for manual or auto start operation.

| CUSTOMER SERVICE |
At our main offices a fully dedicated team of technicians is available to respond to customer’s questions. These technicians ensure that a machine appropriate to customer’s application needs is choosen, and they are also to provide after sale service.
In addition there are authorized technical assistance workshops located throughout Italy.
In all other countries, where we operate, service is provided by local organizations, whose technicians are regularly updated and trained.
Gen Set offers one year warranty on all of its products.

| DESIGN AND MANUFACTURING |
The Company develops the complete design of its products, by studying their electrical part, their electronics, their thermodynamics and sound-proofing.
A final test is carried out on every single model.
All asynchronous alternators mounted on the entire engine driven welders range and on the power generators from 2 kVA to 15 kVA, are built on a modern semi-automated production-line.
Structural components are produced on the steel-work department, equipped with a state-of-the-art sheet metal working equipment, including automatic punch presses, CNCs, laser sheet-cutting machines and automatic welding carousels.
An environmentally friendly dry powder painting process is used. Each metal part is chemically treated with a two-stage phosphatizing process, which removes all impurities ensuring the adherence of the polyurethane powder paint.
The final result is a homogeneous finish with high mechanical resistance to corrosion and scratches.
